Elect Climate Champions

The 2024 election is upon us. Candidates are on the campaign trail telling us loud and clear whether they are climate champions willing to make the hard decisions to invest in a transformation of our economy or whether they represent the most regressive, irresponsible, and toxic aspects of our past. In our “last decade of action,” as so named by climate scientists, our ability to elect climate and democracy leaders up and down the ballot will dictate our future. From the White House to Congress to State Legislatures and beyond, we must elect climate champions into office and then hold them accountable to achieve the transformative change that both science and justice demand.

The scientific understanding of the climate crisis and policy positions to alter our fossil fueled economy are well established. It is the political will, to make the hard decisions and tell Big Oil our future is better off without them, that is lacking. Electing climate champions, who care more about our planet and our future than bringing in the big political donations, means our government can finally move past its partisan and selfish ways and transform our society into one that thrives with a clean energy economy and a vibrant democracy.

This fall, every voter in the nation must raise their voice and mark their ballot for a healthy and thriving climate!
